Temizuya in four simple steps
- Draw water; rinse the left hand, then the right
- Pool water in the left palm and rinse the mouth (don’t swallow or spit on the ground)
- Rinse the left hand once more
- Clean the ladle handle toward yourself and set it back

Favor a concrete, humble ask—“income that matches my work”—over “make me rich.” Many choose a 5-yen coin (go-en, a good bond) or 15 yen.
